Ezell's Catfish: A Taste of Southern Seafood Perfection in Columbus, GA

The food was surprisingly good! I ordered grilled salmon, which is somewhat of a risk at a place that seems to specialize in fried seafood, and forgot to ask for it medium, so I was expecting it to be overcooked. It was actually perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of seasoning. The sweet potato fries are quite possibly the best I've ever had. The hush puppies were very good, and so was the coleslaw. Very pleased with my meal.

As someone with years of culinary experience in the Navy, I truly appreciate well-prepared food—and Ezell’s Catfish delivered on that front. I ordered the regular fried catfish dinner with cheese grits, and everything was outstanding. The fish was seasoned and cooked to perfection, the cheese grits were rich and creamy, and the slaw was fresh and well-balanced. The hush puppies were hands down the best I’ve had in years—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and full of flavor. Our server, Heather, was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and professional. She handled our order and any questions we had with ease and genuine care. She definitely added to the positive experience. The only concern I had was the cleanliness of the dining area. The walls and floors could use more attention, as they appeared quite dirty. From my background in food service, I know that sanitation and cleanliness are just as important as the food itself. Customers eat with their eyes first, and a clean environment helps support the high quality of the meal. This feedback is meant with respect, as I truly believe Ezell’s has something special. With just a bit more attention to the dining space, it could easily be an all-around top-tier experience.

This was a trip my cousin talked about for 21 years lol. When she said she was coming to GA I offered to pick her up and bring her to this place where she met her daughters current husband of 20 years. OMG the food was amazing. Let’s start with the fresh coleslaw - the best I’ve ever had. Then it was the hush puppies - better than momma used to make. We ordered food to share and was not disappointed. I ordered the trio of pickles, onion rings and fried green tomatoes and hush puppies to go and my honey enjoyed them. The best way to reheat is in the air fryer. My go to place now. A gem in Columbus GA

The best food I've ever tasted that required no sauces. I will be back in Columbus, GA. just to eat at Ezell's.

We're from El Paso, TX and it's our first time in Georgia, and we loved the seafood here! The fried gator is soooo good, and those crab claws were also amazing really worth the money (remember to tip ur servers!) and it was a great experience. Give Jamie a raise!! She's awesome!

First time here...had catfish filets, baked potato, cheese grits, 2 waters...$30 ish. Went around 12 on Sunday, not to busy. Lady at the front was not very welcoming, looked as if she couldn't bother to be at work as she brought us to our table. Our waitress though was very nice and helpful! Place appears run down inside. Food was ok, nothing particularly outstanding. Cheese grits had no flavor, not even a drop of salt, hush puppies were super hot and tasty. One and done is good for me.
